Hillsborough Vineyards Fer Servadou Bloodstone

13% alc. Not bad, not mind-blowing either. Lots of sediment. Strange crystals on underside of cork -- not sure why, as wine went straight from producer's tasting room to my cellar. Hillsborough Vineyards isn't afraid to tackle non-traditional varietals, and this Fer Servadou, a grape usually grown in South-West France and Uganda, I believe, produces an interesting wine featuring dark fruits, mushrooms, and oak, with a tannic finish.
