Beckmen Vineyards Chenin Blanc Santa Ynez Valley

Not much different to report from my earlier comments.

It's been years since we've had any Chenin Blanc; it just is not all that common, anymore, although it was relatively easy to find when we were young, back around the Napoleonic Era ;-) Thus, I can't really speak to how "typical" this might be. We enjoyed it, though. Almost a flowery nose: dandelions and sunflowers. Mildly citrus palate, but with some stone fruit in there: peaches or nectarines. And we have another bottle!

Some Rare Day-Drinking Underneath the Oak Trees (Los Olivos, CA) : As good a US Chenin as I can recall, delicious, and evidencing true typicity. So translucent I was fooled into expecting a lightweight easy drinker, but the acidity and the structure belie this wine's appearance. Drink or hold.
