J'adore cette étiquette! Sur les pêches, les fleurs et le beurre. Il y a aussi un peu de citrons et de silex. Long et fort persistant. Excellent.

Very Sauv Blanc-like, with pears, melons, citrus and a slight hint of a grass/herbs. Very high toned, crisp and linear. I like the lack of noticeable oak. Nervy and full of mouth-watering acids... could benefit from some cellar time to round it out.

Opened up the 2005 tonight to share with friends with a paella. I normally love this wine. Supposedly the drink window was through 2015. In appearance the wine was a sauterne gold, which indicated to me the wine, had aged. However, it was clean, bright and clear. Normally, this wine is bright pale yellow in appearance. The bouquet was mild, of peaches and apricots. Again my past experience was of huge floral and fruit aromas. Rather disappointing in the mouth …

Dinner at Mistral (Princeton) with Bala, Jen, Sue and Tash (Princeton, NJ) : A tasty wine. Notes of pear, apple, hazelnut, nuts. At Mistral. Best with the mushroom on toast with veal tongue. Drink now.

Birthday Dinner L'Ecole June 2013 (L'Ecole. Manhattan) : Birthday dinner at L'Ecole: I stuck the wine in the freezer in the early pm and drove it to NYC enveloped by an ice cooler. It arrived cold -- almost too cold, despite the warm weather -- and the restaurant found an ice bucket, too. I had a little trepidation about the wine, given the mediocre scores on CT, but our wine was delicious and just singing. When too cold it was …

Dinner at Goosefoot (Goosefoot, Chicago IL) : Nose: There are nice and forward tones of melons, roasted nuts, pears, and some smoke tones as well. Taste: Fuller bodied, but the acidity is lacking and leaves it slightly hollow. There are nice and balanced tones of melons, pears, and roasted nuts. Overall: This was lacking some depth on both the nose and palate. It was still a very good and interesting white that paired well with the food.

No notes taken. Clean cork. Look: Medium bright yellow '04. Body: 3% milk. Nose: Lemon, honeysuckle, vanilla, lt. butter, almond, calcium. Taste: Apple, pear, lt. lemon, honeysuckle, medium vanilla, calcium. Big weighty girl for big food. Showed bigger than the St. Germann. Very fun big white. Enjoy now or within a few yrs. 91 pts.

Great full body with long finish. Tried the 2006 and it was terrible, returned all bottles to the store.

What a delicious wine! Initially a bit cold, but very good fruit flavors (mango, papaya) with some mineral and acidity on the finish. With some time and not as cold, became a much more complicated wine, with notes of mango, papaya, honeysuckly acidity, banana, petrol and some charcoal / smoke on the finish and more mineral notes, too. This would be really GREAT with some Portuguese food -- maybe some cod with salt (that would bring out the acidity) and …

Exploring the wines of Portugal @ Raimondo's (Netherlands) : Much more refined and delicate than the previous wine. Honeyed pears, apricots. Lovely, slender and breezy freshness is combined with saline minerality, slightly rustic structure, good bitterness in the aftertaste. Very nice! 17.5/20

Occasional tasting group: Portugal plus some extra's. (@ RT) : Honey in the bouquet. Friendly, soft and ripe. Full bodied and elegant. Well hidden oak. Good citrus and some tropical fruits. Good bitterness in the finish. Excellent wine.

Heavy on the straw colour with golden shades. The nose shows a well integrated wood under precise notes of banana, pruns and some dried herbs. The mouth is full and glyceric with the fruit accompanied by slight vanilla and almonds. Although having a warm&heavy profile it maintains the freshness in its character. Perfect acidity in a medium to long finish. With some more time in the glass it gained precision of all the elements becoming more complex and structured. I …

With Christophe Diot, Jen and Natasha at Blue Point Grill: A nice wine, but perhaps overpowered by the food / fish. I thought this would drink better with 1-2 years of age, also. Still very good.

NM. Amarelo-palha, límpido e brilhante. Aromas pouco intensos, lembrando pêras e limão siciliano. Média concentração de fruta, boa acidez, equilibrado mas muito fluido, ligeiro. Falta personalidade, embora seja bem feito e tenha frescor. O/E .

The fruit was not showing much on this bottle and there was a quite annoying (although just slight) bitter taste on the finish.

Consistent with last bottle, same score and tasting note, but this time we tried it with a roasted tuna and a shrimp pie. The wine stood a little shy of the food and did not match that well. The food mostly overwhelmed the wine.

Light yellow/straw color. The nose shows pears, white flowers, and citrus notes. On the mouth it's definitely a food wine. While by it self it was enjoyable and pleasant but nothing more than that, with the shrimp sauce pasta it expanded it's flavours showing a perfect balance and a lively character that really stood out. Will surely experiment further with other types of seafood.
