Medium lemon colour. Medium nose with green apples, peach, pineapple, lemon and oak. Medium taste of pineapple, peach, cream, butter, oak and vanilla. Medium and dry finish, although it feels much sweeter than it actually is. Medium acidity. Medium (+) body. You’ll find better Chardonnays within this price range. Goes well with cheese.

At a party. Varietally correct aroma and flavor, with plenty of oak showing. On the sweeter side.

Black Stallion Estate Winery Chardonnay opens with aromas of yellow pear, crème brûlée, and hints of pineapple and oak. The flavors are tantalizing notes of citrus, orange blossom, and dried apricot.

This might be the first boxed wine I've tasted that is correct for the varietal and something I'd buy again. A good bargain in bulk for an anytime quaffer. Clear, pale straw color. Citrus and floral nose. A little on the sweet side for a chardonnay, but with a characteristic onctueuse mouthfeel carrying toasted almond and toffee notes.

Fruity, light. Nice but unremarkable.

Medium intensity, lemon color. Oaky, buttery and ripe. Baked apple, peach, pineapple, vanilla custard, toast, sawn wood and baking spice. Very ripe fruit, possibly some RS, vanilla oak and excessive alcohol makes up for a really heavy mouthfeel. The acidity is on the lower side of the scale. Warm and slightly bitter finish.
