Vidon Pinot Gris

Tossed in the fridge to see if I would be pleasantly surprised and unfortunately, not so much....

Perplexed. Tasting now, I'm not sure how the bottles made it home.... I really like Don's wines across the board, and moreover visiting with him about his process and what he's creating is a very interesting and engaging experience, but this just doesn't work. It's buttery, almost basic (think detergent) and flat when it should be bright, crisp and floral. I was wondering if the bottle was flawed in some way but my tasting seems fairly consistent with the other …

Random tasting in the Willamette Valley with Ken : Done in neutral oak. Nose is pretty vibrant, but the palate shows some buttery sweetness that's really not appetizing. The finish is funky and off balanced.
