Color already medium garnet in this full bodied and smooth wine. This level of maturity was unexpected. Fruit is tired. Some kind of hard italian cheese would have been a better partner to this wine. Bottle was stored in a winefridge for two years after purchase.

I expected a lot more harsh tannins but they're smooth. I get tobacco, oak and rosemary. It goes very well with the lasagna. I like it - a lot. Will drink it over two days so no score right now. But this is really good. Edit: Day two it smells absolutely wonderfully. Surprisingly it smells of strawberries and cherries. The mouth has also opened up. Berries. This is not what I expected. 86 yesterday, 87 with food and 88 today. …
