Pop and pour. Served at cellar temperature. Glasvin The Kane stem. Golden straw color. Shows some slight reduction. Apple and apple skin ont he palate with that flinti slightly oxidative note that gives depth. Drink up. I don't see much opportunity for improvement with more age.

This is really in a good spot, with a wonderfully expressive nose of yellow apple, lemon curd, and mint. The palate is medium full with notable density and bright acidity. This doesn't have the unctuousness of a recent '14 Alpine, but I'm unsure how much of that is vintage vs. appellation/vineyard designate vs. age vs. stylistic shift. In any event, this wine is probably more versatile than that one due to its texture and weight. Good persistence and complexity in …

This pours medium straw in the glass with faint flecks of green. The nose is highly expressive showing cold cream, lemon custard, marzipan, candied mint, fresh pear, chalk, pine needles, and a faint oyster liquor note. Complex and just gorgeous. Hugely appealing aromatically. The palate enters on bright lemon, with focused medium acid. The finish closes with lovely custard elements and the lovely candied mint alongside a touch of medicinal bitterness. All in all this is seriously impressive stuff that …

Day 1: Light straw color. On the initial pour, I got tropical notes of mango and pineapple. This quickly dissipated and led to a more traditional, Burgundian white profile. Minerality and citrus take over the nose and come through on the palate. The wine is nicely balanced. Lacking a bit of structure, and not particularly complex. Short to medium finish. Overall, enjoyable but for $40-$50 I think there are better options out there. Day 2: Much improved on day two. …

Thought it was a burgundy. Medium acid, apples, orchard fruit, nice toastyness. Easy drinking.

Feel strange about giving a Alesia wine a 94 but this is a very good bottle of wine. Bought a halfcase at some point and this is the first out of that so no reference to how this was before but can not imagine it drinking better before. Stone fruits, white flowers, exotic fruits, pineapple , melon, nice lemon lime acidity with a slight bitter grapefruit bite. Assume the wine sat in oak only because there’s some good weight and …

Lett gylden gul. Litt blakket. Klar fin duft av gul stenfrukt og hint av fat. Bløt og fin, kunne hatt litt mer konsentrasjon. Gul frukt og litt modning. Lettdrikkelig.

Enjoyed this a lot and I think 4 years is the sweet spot for this bottling. Missing the reductive component I often note in Rhys SCM chards. Pale gold color. Fresh nose, bit of stone fruit, bit of white flowers. Balanced on the palate and richer than the 12.7% would usually indicate. Maybe a bit of tropical...but only a bit, on the fringe. Balanced acidity, less than I expected. Juicy fresh finish, bit not bracing. I think this is near …

Sonoma County Tasting @ Grand Cru. Very linear, mineral-driven, lively acidity, lemon-lime and white flowers. My favourite wine of the tasting.

Pop and pour. Light straw color. Nose offers some lemon-lime and green apple notes. Fresh citrus on the intro with green apple and some almond skin notes. Has a marked acidity to it while still maintaining a round mouthfeel. On this night - this was just OK.

Citrus, apple, spice and straw. Medium bodied, with a zippy zesty acidity. Quite nice for the price.
