The wine is garnet red, dry but maybe a small amount of residual sugar and jammy fruits lending a perception of sweetness. Acid is medium. Tannins are medium, soft fine grain. Alcohol is medium high. Finish is long, leaving a cooked red fruits as well as some medicinal tastes on the palate. Aromas of stewed fruits, stewed strawberries, raspberry jam, currants, plums. On the palate, red raspberry, stewed strawberries, oak, a bit of vanilla. Jammy.

Decent wine for the money.

Unfortunately, not a winner as far as the Kirkland label goes. All fruit and no finesse. If you like your Cabs fruity, juicy and slightly sweet, this wine will resonate, but otherwise it comes up short. Distinctly lacks any hint of complexity, while also simultaneously lacking balance.

Deep purple in color. Smells like blackberries and plums on the nose with a hint of oak. Moderate acidity, bold tannins with a long finish. Tastes like dark cherries and blueberries. Not bad. Nellie didn't like it.

Surprised by the jammy notes. Felt this was showing some nice spice with fruit and fairly restrained ”typical” cab flavors. It’s not a Napa punch in the groin. Was best as a PnP and I didn’t like it as much on day 2. It’s a chateau Kirkland $13 special. I wasn’t expecting to hear angels singing.

nice cab with nose full of spice, bramble, peppers, dark berries, slight espresso. palate equally dark and concentrated with notes of cocoa and forward tannins but in good round mouth filling balanced richness. Finishes bright and lively. Benefitted with some time to breathe for sure.

Generous notes of baked cinnamon with healthy amounts of cedar mixed in with medium tannins. Not a long-lived wine, but certainly good for another 5 years or so.

A nice enough wine if you’re not expecting a robust Cab. Nice spice, but a bit jammy. Not much structure or finish. Not offensive, but won’t buy again.

Had higher expectations for this as a wahluke cab. was fat, flabby and didn't firm up on day 2. Good enough for a party pour or when your non-wine friends want you to open up a second bottle. Won't buy again, even at $13/bottle.

Plum sauce, ripe blackberry, vanilla and oak stand out on the nose and palate with medium tannins that soften with time. Too jammy for my taste and lacks the overall character you’d expect from a Washington state cab.

A little bit of heat on the nose but beyond that there’s a good amount of dark red fruit, cinnamon and dry cranberry flavors. There’s definitely a bit of tannic grip here but it’s 2020 so maybe give it a few years to soften. It’s not a 90 pt wine right now but maybe in a few years. Right now it’s still a solid young cab. Not destined for greatness but solid QPR for sure👍

Tasted/smelled a little like gym socks when first opened. Pretty pungent.
