Leopold Schätzle Cuvée Schätzle Noir

A blend of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Mitos. Medium to dark ruby colour. Dark fruit, dark cherry, plum, cola, chocolate, coffee, and spices, with medium acidity, lightly sandpapery tannin, and average length. Slightly green, and finishes lightly bitter. The medium-bodied wine shows little Pinot Noir typicity, and is more reminiscent of Domina except for the sandpapery tannin. Holding up well, and shows some character, but also clearly has its weakness. Enjoyable, but does not offer many reasons for buying again.
