Italian Varietals from WA/OR/CA and Italy...Blind; 1/23/2010-1/24/2010 (Eastside Wine Storage) : In a word: blech. nose: so oaked, it reminds me of fritos and buttered popcorn. palate: alcohol. American oak. Not good.

Good acidity. Has the ability to age longer. Very deep red/purple in color. Oak and cedar are prevalent on the nose. Some slight vegetable aromas. Tannins are still very vibrant. Some alcohol astringency. Pairs very well with beef, lamb and goat. I would age this perhaps another year if I had another bottle.
