Berry and citrus, stemmy herbal notes, subtle spice and savory nuances. Full bodied palate with bright acidity, red sour cherry with a spicy long finish. My take nose better than palate. Palate has a stemmy and spice predominant flavors. This might improve in a year or two.

PnP. Nose shows strawberry, raspberry, cola, and a little baking spice. Solid black raspberry palate shows some verve, with accents of tangerine peel, more spice, and a nice earthy background. Supple and lasting tannins on the finish with hard candy, cherry, medium acidity, dried thyme, and bay leaf. In peak form tonight.

PnP. Unusual aromas of candied cherry, game meat, and barnyard. Palate delivers earthy dark cherry with spikes of hard candy, rose water, mace, and allspice. When first opened, very little on the nose but let it warm up a bit, and it evolves into a punchy, almost sweet and certainly strong palate, especially up front and in the middle, followed by a long metallic fennel aftertaste. It's a pinot noir but not the savoury mushroom type. It is so fruit forward, almost as if someone had mixed in some conentrated syrah. Has that wow factor.

Classic cherry notes with a bit of leather, plus interesting hints of cola and menthol. Smooth drinking despite relatively high alcohol. Overall a pleasant Pinot, though perhaps not as impressive as others at this price point.

Just like earlier bottles and vintages. A very good PN in an absolute sense and a good value. It is an in between PN......not light, but not overly dark and heavy. I took this bottle to a Homeowner's Association Pool Party, and it proved very popular.

Classic ruby colour with medium legs and body. Love the Dijon clones used, and not familiar with the Wadensvil clone? The nose and palate were sweeter berry fruit then I'm used to from Oregon, but the earthy notes did come through on the mid-palate. Oak was present, but not overwhelming, polished texture, and medium acid with a medium finish. Well done.

Fruity on the nose and palate, yet still subtle, with more brambly very ripe black cherry and darker fruit than I expected. Some hints of soil and rocks but just didn't taste as open as I expected either. At this point, rich and medium bodied, in my opinion more in the style of North Coast CA. Tannins glided through the medium- finish. Quality is there but maybe too one-dimensional. 90 pts. Perhaps wait until 2026-2027?

Young and fruit driven when popped and poured; improves with air and time. This will be much better in a few years. Hint of mushroom and Earth underneath red fruit on the palate. Definite Pinot noir character on the finish. At this stage almost better to sip than with food. If you have some and can wait I would do so.

Brought a bottle to our friends dinner on Bainbridge Island. We were all wild with how great this vintage had become. I have laid this down for two years and it vastly improved. 4th Saturday Brown Bagger: The Americas (J&L's) : Double blind. Bright purplish red color with a lovely bouquet of cherry cola, nutmeg, cranberry, orange and cinnamon. Medium-bodied. Flavors of sour cherry, cola and earthy clay. Finishes with good length and has nice balancing acidity. Easy to pick out as pinot, but the cola and generous fruit had me thinking Russian River. Dark ruby color, with cherry, raspberry, menthol, and oak on the nose, this has notes of licorice, currants, cedar, plum, black cherries, and mint flowing across the palate to a nice, long finish. Rich, full-bodied, thick and viscous, this has nice complexity, good fruit, and is well balanced. Very satisfying.

Such a beautiful pinot. Don't know if this makes sense, but a really Burgundian rendition from the New World. Definitely bigger and less nuanced than an "old Burgundy", but still show some of that polish, earthy, restrained old world charm in a new world style.
