A great inexpensive Oregon Pinot..

This was a bad one

Dark fruit, nutmeg, and brown sugar on the nose. Earthy fruit on the palate, with some subtle spice and cola. Nice acidity. Finish is just a bit too short to warrant a higher score. At or just slightly past its peak. Very enjoyable bottle.

We took this to dinner tonight at a local French Bistro. The wine is drinking terrific right now. Nice notes of cranberry with a lovely Pinot funk for interest. Great balance and wonderfully food friendly with many cheeses, escargot in a garlic pesto, lamb, and beet salad. Great Oregon Pinot!

Very little nose. It opens a little with a lot of air in the glass, but even on the 2nd day it didn't change significantly out of the bottle. I think this was likely better a few years ago. It's very soft. Subtle strawberries, cola, and mushroom/earthy notes. Nice acidity. Virtually no tannins. Medium finish. Don't wait any longer on this - I don't think it's going to improve.

Deep rich nose, spicy, firm tannins, balanced acidity, with a nice long finish. Good.
