Awesome. Nose like it did not age at all. Sous-bois, cherry and spice notes. Expands on the palate with a long finish. This wine is what got me into the Burgundy expensive habit - and I can see why. Very nice and hardly aging.

So this is still an amazing wine. Beautiful fruit, spice, and incense on the nose. Light transparent flavours with a loing finish. 02 fruit goes on forever. Nice balance on flavour and acidity bringing out the fruit. This wine is sublime.

Darker ruby color. Very enticing nose of rose hips, cranberry, violets, damp cellar, iodine. Hearty, slightly rustic red raspberry and mulberry fruit on the palate with deepening concentration and grip as the evening progressed. Notes of iron also. Fresh acidity and moderated tannin leading to a longer finish of crisp red berry, ferric particles, and stone. This is rounding into view and could definitely improve over the long term.

Popped and poured. Medium ruby color. Nose of raspberry, cherry pits, anise, lily, wet earth. Layers of boisterous, slightly rustic mulberry and raspberry fruit on the palate, full of verve and bits of tartness. Nice structural underpinning with earth and iron notes. Firm tannins and moderate acidity, leading to a medium-length finish of red fruits and iron filings. Enjoyable and true to its site of origin, but missing that extra measure of persistence and refinement to be outstanding.

So it has been a while since I had one of these. It was the wine that got me into Burgundy. On the nose it started with some reduction which reminded me of a bit of barnyard which blew off relatively quickly. Nice blackberry and raspberry on the nose with spice notes. More intense than I remember. On taste blackberry and raspberry, sappy, and primary still. Tannins are smooth and silky with excellent balance. Flavorful with a great finish, Really …

Color clear garnet. Aroma: Cherry with earth notes, forest floor and barnyard ( not brett) over time has spicy notes. Structure: nice round mouthfeel, great balance between acidity and tannins. Finish: Long, extremely silky. Bottle is better than I remember. The 2002s seem vastly superior to the 2003s or 2001s. Great balance and delicious. Getting better over time. Trying to locate more of this wine. Taste is better than many more expensive Cote de Nuits. I like it better than …

Nice typical barnyard nose that blows off over time. Dark fruit, spice, vanilla, forest floor, notes. Great cherry flavor with balanced tannins. When you taste it you know immediately that you are drinking a Burgundy. The flavor and aroma evolve over time ending in a spicy note.
