1 hour decant, 60 F. Deep ruby color. Granite and black cherry with hints of smoke and leather on the nose, slightest touch of mint. Lovely velvety tannins, light persistent acidity. Oak and alcohol well integrated. Medium+ body. Rich tart black cherry, blackberry, sweet tobacco, vanilla and dark chocolate on the palate. Long lingering finish. As RandyJC pointed out, Adams Bench is an underrated winery.

More people should pay attention to Adams Bench cabernet and cabernet blends as they always deliver exceptional flavors and classic Washington cab characteristics. The “V” is no exception in 2016. Slightly alcoholic nose, but in the mouth the wine is cassis and black raspberry and bakers chocolate. Long, lingering finish. Very good wine.

PnP. Nose is hedonistic. Black fruit, cassis, vanilla, dark chocolate and maraschino cherry. A little hot. Polished entry, hardly any tannin to speak of. Low acid and gobs of fruit. The wine is fast and furious with not of a finish. This is a wine of style and less of place. Don’t get me wrong, it’s enjoyable and approachable, a total crowd pleaser. But not something I see lasting more than 5 years.

Pnp. Black cherry and Blackberry. Cigar box. Sexy, dry, tannic beast. Can always count on Adams bench to remind you that you are drinking something. Love it. Needs some time.

Young and rich The mid palate had overly Napa bit has cinnamon tones and this is not a too rich fruity Napa cab. In fact quite dry in the finish. With a hint of the malbec creating backbone in the finish.
