Bought this bottle in SA earlier this year. 100% Shiraz, matured for 15 months in oak barriques (70% new). 1h decant in the glass, which was too short. The Cederberg was a tad too sweet imo (though 3.8 g/L RS vs 5.9 g/L TA) but it got better with time. Otherwise really well structured with lots of backbone, black berries and plums, coffee, herbs, and smooth tannins. Early drinking window I assume.

Deep ruby through to rim. The brambles and ripe blackberries pop out of the glass whilst vanilla, smoke and spice add to the aroma. Full-bodied, the sweet entry has intense flavours of baked fruit pie, blueberry cheesecake, bonfire toffee and some char elements - like BBQ ribs. Soft, very approachable with some weight, the wine is fruit-driven with a smoky tang and is eminently drinkable

Slight menthol and cigar box nose, uncanny scent of cedar and blackberry. Taste is warm and slightly spicy, good solid oak foundation, cooling effect on the finish. Lingers nicely!

Very ripe bramble fruit nose. Quite a big style with grippy tannins and spicy black fruits. Good acidity keeps it all together and there is a nice cedar note on the finish.
