Opened in Beaune. P&P and then decanted before sharing with friends. My first Faure, and this did not disappoint. Juicy, fruity, red-fruited pleasure. Good oak treatment and clean whilst also being well integrated already at this age. Honestly, very enjoyable, and what WineHog would call a vin d'emotion even if it doesn't have the concentration for the long haul. Would absolutely look forward to trying again!

A private dinner (Restaurant 4850, Amsterdam, NL) : Bottle No. 283 from 578 bottles produced. Rich black fruit, initially slightly Rhône-like on the nose, spicy and meaty, ripe but balanced by refreshing acidity, powerful and weighty but not overly alcoholic (13.5% ABV), red cherries and a hint of peach, hint of pepper from the stems, flowing finish, very good length.
