Gelbe, spritzige Früchte in der Nase. Tolle Säure. Rund und komplex. Schöner Abgang. Ein bisschen zuviel Alkohol. ------------------------------------------------- Yellow, tangy fruits on the nose. Great acidity. Round and complex. Nice finish. A little too much alcohol.

Terroir-istes Local - Chenin, Warm Climate (Cape Town - Las Cases) : (Tasted Blind): Light lemon in colour. Intense aromas of baked apple and pear crumble with some greener qualities of melon rind and grass (that SBlanc elements creeping in?). A broad, rich palate structure with zippy acidity makes this a bolder wine with sweet ripe fruits, a creamy underbelly, and fleshy juiciness. It is well integrated and concentrated, with a medium to long finish. I felt it was balanced, though …

Terroir-istes Local - Chenin Blanc Cederberg Generation V Vertical (Vredehoek) : (Tasted Blind): A mid-golden colour, the nose initially had herbal and grassy notes, evoking a lifted and slightly Sauvignon Blanc-like quality before revealing dried sage, bay leaf, wet dog, popcorn, toasty oak and quince. Last bottle - consistent with previous notes - seems to drink particularly well with Chinese poultry and prawn dishes- if you have any left I would consider drinking up

Again drank very well with Chinese food - decent length and power on the palate - just a hint of off-dry - floral with maybe just a touch of honey and oatmeal biscuit - very nice wine but drink up

Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc Tasting (Villeira) : (Tasted Blind, Short notes walkaround): Pale lemon. Light fragrant notes of spice, Galia melon and orange. A vigorous acidity threads through the wine encountering orange segments, Gala apple and slices of chilled melon flesh with that twist of toasty oak. Gorgeously long and appealling this is a smart wine.

possibly past its best and I suspect without the acidity to allow it to age like a good Vouvray to which this wine did seem very similar= drank well with Chinese style stir-fry
