Nose is a bit faded, but still faint notes of stewed plums and vanilla are detectable. Soft and rounded with a balanced palate of dark fruit, oak, and leather. Medium tannins.

Pop and pour. Seems like it might be a bit on the downslope, but still very enjoyable. Nose with roasted black fruit, some heavy toasted notes. On the palate, a touch of ripe black fruit with blackberry and more toasty notes. Ok acidity, followed by minty cola. Still fairly tannic core, but seems to have lost some vibrance.

The nose literally leaps from the glass wit aromas of figs and cherries. Smooth tannins and sweet fruit show excellent balance with a long finish. Really nice complexity on the front of the tongue. This wine is just now coming into its own with many years left. Wish I had a dozen of these!
