- Crimsom color and aromas of cloves and dusty and has flavours of cherry and black pepper - Definitely drink now. Cherry and good spice dance on your palate. Nice finish.

I liked this, which for cabernet sauvignon isn't much of an endorsement. Pretty simple, fruit forward. The black fruit seems to bury the tannins. Lightly oaked. But unlike most young cabernet sauvignon it won't clash with the food. The fruitiness makes it more food friendly than a young, tannic cab.

This is the second vintage in a row I liked this wine, which is odd because I like so little cabernet franc. I guess both 2005 and 2005 were ripe vintages in the Paso Robles area which explains why I didn't get the greenness I so often associate with cab franc, although that doesn't work in the Loire. Not a lot on the nose except some berry and a touch of alcohol. The palate is balanced with cherries, dark fruit …

Its been a long time since I have had this one. Its apperently 24% cabernet franc. And that shows through. Floral, lively aromatics. Either MAN Vintners SA cab is showing through or this is just a bit stemmed up. Fun.

Fruity, one-dimensional Cabernet, not nearly as interesting or robust as the 2005 vintage. Ok, but nothing memorable.
