The nose shows dark old blackberries, some stems, dirt road, oak and light plummy notes. The palate starts off with dark plums and pepper, some blackberries and oak follow in the mid-palate, balanced and integrated structure picks up nicely heading into the finish. Fruit flavors hang with it for a 10 second finish. Nice intensity throughout on this wine, somewhere in the middle, and in a place where it drinks well on it's own and with a meal, this matched …

APPEARANCE: Dark, dark red. Hardly any legs at all. AROMA: Blueberry pie with a hint of oak and vanilla. Very nice nose. TASTE: Smooth, firm tannins. Coats the palate with jammy fruit flavors. Well made.

This was the hit of the night. Brought to a party so no specific notes, other than that after it had been open a while it started to get a little green pepper flavor to it, so don't decant this one!
