Sesta di Sopra, Rosso di Montalcino

Little tipsy but this wine is very good. Dry as a bone and some really incredible smells. Maybe my fav ever

Medium ruby color. Aromas of dark cherry, indian spices, dried herbs and some strawberry and a hint of leather. Full bodied with chewy smooth tannins and balanced acidity. A medium-long, slightly drying, finish. This wine needs a few more years to harmonise a bit better and fleshen out a little. It could well develop one or two notches up based on my experience with other Sesta di Sopra RdM vintages. Drink 2023 - 2030.

Diverse spices and herbs. Plums and dark cherries. A bit of leather and camphor. Firm and drying tannins, not so fresh, nor particularly elegant, it still has enough cut and length to be engaging and complex. Could probably use a few years of aging to really shine, but I wouldn't push it, I would drink it before 2025. I would also plan to have it with food.
