Decanted 90 minutes. In terrific condition - Lots of cassis and black fruits with hints of licorice, pines and noticeable minerality. Still very structured palate. Medium - long, savory finish. Blind tasters thought this was a left bank BDX, from with St. Estephe or Pessac. May not even be at peak. easily has another 5 years of good life. 92-93

Still good, but this is not meant for holding. At a point now where the fruit has receded and the wine is dormant when cold. Drink at room temperature within the next year or two. DRINK

Wonderful Cab-Franc like wine. Definitely got better with age.

Rich garnet color. 1 hour decant, 60 F. Blackberry and tobacco with licorice, smoke, mint and vanilla notes on the nose. Medium+ acidity, tannins are still a bit, um, aggressively assertive. Oak could also use a bit more time to integrate, alcohol is already pretty well integrated. Muscular full body. Fully extracted black fruits on the palate, with iron, copper, raw beef, dried oak and drying cocoa notes. Long, lingering slightly sharp finish. Wish I had another bottle to try …

Dark and deep, though tight upon opening the cork. It opened up with 2-3 hours in the decanter to reveal reticent notes of cedar, mint, rosemary, licorice, and with time, more notable notes of black fruits, soy, and cocoa. Big, polished, and lush in the mouth, and a long expansive finish. The alcohol was notable toward the end of the evening but it was never obtrusive. More bottle age is recommended. 93+

This is an Italian gem if you can find it. Such a seriously made wine with heavily extracted deep red fruit, perfectly pushing the enveloped right to the edge of the cliff. Nuances of blood, pen ink and monstrous tannins. We are tasting some development of baking spices, telling me this is ripe and ready to go. Dont let these sit more than 3 to 5 years...But man are these delicious! Drink

Wow! This has but on more weight and muscle. I would say that this is in a perfect window for that mature and big stage. This is where the wine has started blooming and showing some beef and blood notes, while maintaining freshness, fruit, and structure. This is powerful stuff for the price. Drink

As per below, needs more time and air (about 5 hrs). Still tight, but loads of potential.

Deep, dark garnet, almost opaque in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of dusty/earthy & floral notes, some tobacco, spices, minerals & a hint of cedar in the background. Medium-full bodied with very good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, rich, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & plums with cocoa, spices, herbs, minerals & a hint of vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & …

An absolute beauty! Another seriously made wine in the spirit of young Bordeaux from Saint Julien or maybe a super serious Haut Medoc, like a good La Lagune at 1/2 the price. Elements of graphite and earth abound, and a super dryness that makes it so sexy and interesting, pointing it to Italy. It was hard to go through one bottle between 4 people because the finish was so long and so damn interesting. It was fantastic and I am …

Limited notes, wanted to try given good reviews and price. Definitely a well made wine with substance. Drinks above its price point, but perhaps a little overrated. 91

Outstanding red. Descriptor in CT is wrong, the wine is Tenuta Marsilianas “Marsiliana” and is not varietally designates but is, in fact, a Cab, Merlot, Petit Verdot blend. Great acidity along with rich ripe fruit makes this a standout among modern-styles Italian Bordeaux blends. Great overall balance with nice savory elements and salinity balancing the sweet fruit. Quite approachable now....but might benefit from another 1-4 years of bottle age.
