Tropical extremes. White grapefruit. Zing!

Peach/mango style, slightly oily/weightier texture, soft acidity.

Pineapple, peach, melon, and minerals. Good acidity, and nice finish! Very good summer pool wine.

ABV 13%. This is a lovely New Zealand SB with tropical fruit aroma and flavor, along with some well balanced herbal notes and just right acidity. Very nice.

A textbook SB by Villa Maria and for my taste its the best choice from all its SB range as of QPR. Straw colour. Pronounced and concentrated fresh aroma bursts from the glass with notes of grapefruit, gooseberries, passion fruits, herbal hints. Palate is also powerful, concentrated with fruity flavours, bright and crisp acidity concludes with long zesty finish. It has all what I would look for in NZ SB, screaming aroma, concentrated refreshing flavours, well integrated punchy acidity, beautiful.

Villa Maria Tasting (WSPC) : Kept on lees post fermentation for texture and density, 4-5 months -/- The wine shows higher acidity than the Private Bin, more based on asparagus, green, lime peel with sour tropical fruit notes, there is more depth and complexity. There is a touch of “Loire flint” here too. In the palate, the wine shows again more depth and complexity, asparagus lime, lemon, green apple, high acidity, medium to full body, flinty, notes, long finish. The …
