Medium purple in the glass. Medium-to-full-bodied, slightly off-dry, medium acidity with soft, round tannins. Primary dark fruit aromas of blueberry and blackberry with a red fruit aroma of raspberry. Spice aroma of green peppercorn. Faint secondary aromas of milk chocolate and tobacco. Tertiary earthy aroma of potting soil and oak. The finish is a combination of bitter, sour, and herbal with a finish that lasts between 6-8 seconds and a warmth from the 14% ABV.
