- Yellow gold color - Litt sure ullsokker til a begynne med men blir bedre. Fin syre

2021 vintage

Waxy and lemon peel on the nose; after some time it showed a bit of the wet stone mineral characteristics. Medium body. Acidity is quite controlled, more riper lemon and peach fruit with some biterness at the end. After some time, the bitterness is a bit more pronounced but not unpleasant. Really stood well with stir fried ground beef.

Relatively restrained but refined on the nose with floral notes layered with orchard fruit and citrus peel. Delicate honey. Light to medium bodied and very fresh. Biscuity finish. Pleasant but not particularly exciting.

At a tasting of 3 white and 3 reds from David & Nadia, the nose promised more than the palate delivered with a short finish. I was disappointed with a previous Chenin Blanc from D & N and this came across as a simple wine with little complexity.

was hoping for more, found it kind of hollow; maybe the next will be different; July 31-24 I was a little harsh on this wine, after the 2nd bottle has set for more time, it is very delicious, nice body, acidity and a great bottle of wine. buy, can hold for a few years

Compared with du Breuil Savenniers 2020. Savenniers is showing much riper nose - tropical fruit and sweetness. D&N shows more savory and earthy characters.

This is pretty nice, although a bit heavy on the oak. Quite intensely citrussy and rich, creamy with some light honey notes. Lovely wine!

Lay & Wheeler South Africa tasting. Brief Notes: Lots of intensity and power but lovely poise. Doesn’t ever feel over the top. Citrussy and honeyed it has a lovely herbal note on the long finish.

Lay & Wheeler South Africa tasting (Glazier's Hall) : Ripe but very clean. Good purity. A little reductive note is really nice. Some peach, lemon and spice. A little shy on the palate, lacking the impact of the nose. Very good though.

Made in a non-interventionist fashion from dry-farmed Chenin Blanc. Spontaneous fermentation. Aged in old 300-liter oak barrels. 13,5% alcohol. Served blind. Pale yellow color. Ripe, yellow-toned nose with aromas of dried banana chips, some exotic fruits like guava and pineapple, a little bit of orange blossom and a touch of creaminess suggesting oak aging. The wine is gentle, round and moderately full-bodied on the palate with rather mineral-driven stony character and rich flavors of yellow apples, white peach, some bitter …
