Cool slightly floral smell, relatively restrained. Thick and concentrated in the mouth, wonderful smoky and spicy flavour. The fruit is sort of apricot or peach but definitely in the background. Finishes surprisingly refreshingly. Concentrated, full bodied and powerful but not hot. Splendid Grüner Veltliner, will last several years yet.

From 75cl screwcap. Palest watery yellow, considerable CO2 spritz. Classic GV scent with the stereotypical markers noted by isaacjamesbaker on 20.12.2018. A lighter, purer GV Federspiel would be hard to imagine, this just lacks the definition and structure of FXP's Klostersatz or Steinertal FS. A wonderful, truly featherlight (12% alc) fun wine, with several years in hand. 89P
