A wonderful champagne. Light, seductive, fresh, delicately juicy. Delicious. Mrs Harrie and me actually prefer this blanc-de-blancs over the vintage les grandes terres.

Surprisingly delicious champagne. Lemon, chalk, mid weight with enough acidity to get the job done. Good QPR.

100% chardonnay from Vertus, 70% 2022 base, (30% reserve). Disgorged in April, 7gms dosage beautiful fine bead, a fresh and fruit forward style, this has tension, minerality, exotic fruits, agrum, peach, almonds, and a brilliant salinity at the finish, refreshing. This is the wine which best represents the Colin estate.

Brioche, orange, marsipan notes. This wine is easily 90/91 without food and with shellfish i would not be surprised if the combo elevates it to 93. Slightly expensive compared to their better grand cru which has the same price tag in Norway and is a better wine also with more age. If the producer had reduced the price with 10 EUR it would be perfectly priced and my go to in this segment.

Ripe golden apple, ripe white peach bitter autolytic yeast on the nose. Only medium intensity of aromas. It smells like it's going to be subtle and elegant on the palate; but oh man, it isn't. Instead the palate is quite intense and powerful. It's not dominated by once element either. Ripe white peach, ripe apricot, ripe quince, limestone, fresh baked sourdough bread and walnuts on the palate. Medium + intensity of flavors and super expessive. It's almost oxidative, but not …

The new 2020 base is so fine and elegant. There are notes of freshly cut pear and white peach. It has a light breadiness and loads of chalky mineral. It sits nicely in the glass with a vigorous mousse and pin-head size bead. the finish has green apple freshness.

Golden in colour and on the nose - yellow apple, lemon, glazed pastry. It has great concentration, plenty of fruit (apple, lemon, loads of peach) and yeasty notes. High acidity, obvs, and some decent body. There is almost a hint of sweetness. Not as long or complex on the finish as you might like, but it is a bargain at this price. Disgorged January 2022 based on the 2019 vintage.
Taster #6708 · Jun 20, 2022
Again 2019 base here with a detailed nose of white flowers, white peach and citrus. It has a base of chalk and very fine bead with a creamy mousse. The finish is bright and zesty.

Magnificent 6 Ride Again : Blind. Floral, peaches, pear and orange peel. Nice weight to the fruit, fairly mild profile with medium length as well. Drinks nicely and the 7g p/l residual feels well balanced.
Taster #6708 · May 5, 2020
Fabulous nose of grilled nuts, bread, toast, white mushroom and tart Tatin. It is rich layered and complex, with a wonderful amalgam of fruit and extended lees contact notes. Bubbles are still vigorous and there's some mineral crunch to the long finish.

So pure, almost like Puligny-Montrachet with pin-head bubbles. White flowers and pristine white peach. A hint of toast and some green apple. Direct, detailed, with a fine line of chalky acidity.

Amy's Semicentennial Birthday "Season"; 7/21/2017-7/23/2017 (La Jolla, California) : This particular bottle was disgorged during the month of January 2016. It is a pale yellow, vibrant blanc de blancs that consists of approximately 60% solera reserve Chardonnay and 40% Chardonnay from the 2013 harvest. Sporting a very brisk small-to-medium bead and aromas of lemon zest, bread dough and orchard fruits, it is light-bodied, crisply acidic and seamlessly alcoholic (12%). The flavors mirror the nose and stay solid in the middle. …

70% of the fruit is sourced from Vertus and 30% from Bergères-lès-Vertus, all vineyards Premier Cru level. The wine is based on 2010 vintage (60%) with 40% reserve wines. Aged first for 6 months in stainless steel and then some 30 months in bottles with the lees. Yellow green lemon color. No surprises there. Quite juicy and fruit-forward nose with aromas of citrus fruits, some herbal notes and a hint of chalky minerality. No autolytic complexity or toast notes to …

nose: nice clear and fragrant nose of almonds, pears, white fruits, green apples, and lemon zest. Nice depth for the level as well taste: lighter bodied with good medium+ acidity that is on the refreshing side. Good balance with crisp and pristine tones of almonds, white fruits, green apples and some mineral tones as well. overall: this is a blend of the 08&09 harvests and has a 3/12 disgorgement. A real nice NV bubbly with a real crispness to it
