More complex on the nose and palate than I remember, tasting older with lots of secondary flavours coming through now. This is peaking and time to finish up remaining bottles.

Shared on a Friday afternoon at the office with Angel, Joe W, Guillaume and Ritch. Didn't take notes, but enjoyed thoroughly.

This wine is very good but I think needs a bit more time still. Very nice bouquet that over an hour developed into creme brulle scents. The wine tasted quite hot initially, but after an hour or so in the decanter started to calm down a bit. Vanilla and caramel flavours came through, perhaps a bit too much. Iltet 1/2 time på karaffel hvilket er godt da der er lidt bundfald. Farven er flot rubin rød, duften er behagelig med toner af mørke bær, vanille, måske lidt tobak eller peber. Smagen er kraftig, lang, tilpas syrebalance og egentlig også kompleks da den føles rund og lang i smagen. Perfekt til en bøf med grønne bønner i senneps-honning dressing.

Nytårsaften blandt venner (Hos EGO) : Flot mørkerød farve næsten sort i centrum. Ok duft men ikke noget specielt, dog toner af bær, peber mv. Vinen blev åbnet og drukket, hvilket helt klart ikke var optimalt. Den skal iltes mindst ½ time og så er det 100% en madvin, da den uden mad har en alt alt for kraftig domins af tanniner og virker for tør i det til min smag. Nose: dark fruit, subtle spicy sweet wood, attractive but not powerful aromas; taste: excellent smooth dark fruit, great elegant blackberry, with the barrel-aging adding subtle spice and preventing much fruit juice sweetness. Long, smooth ripe tannins, lovely finish. Elegant, excellent value. You want to drink the bottle, not just a glass. THis can handle a big, fancy meal (roast, ribs, lamb).

Fenavin 2011 (Feria Nacional del Vino /Biannual Spanish Wine Fair - Ciudad Real Spain); 5/10/2011-5/12/2011 (Ciudad Real - España) : Lactic and black fruit (nose and palate) and oaky, too dry aftertaste cause wood. Dissapointed Láctico y fruta negra (nariz y boca) y amaderado, postgusto demasiado seco por la madera. Desilusionado.
