Absolutely enjoyable, lovely development - leafy aromatics, sweetness and touch of fresh dark berries. Cool translucency and sweet tea characters. Long, lazy eucalypt finish, glowing, balanced, weightless. In a really good place now - alas, last bottle!

(random midweek) Dark leafy bramble, black cherries, soft plums, aromatic bluefruits, and hint leather, black pepper, violets and McLaren cocoa. With time, funky barnyard! Palate is silky, with still taut tannins, but incredibly translucent structure - layered, airy and savoury. More leather, black licorice, herbal garrigue and pastille, juicy sweet. Drinking in a really great place now! Finish with more leather, minty eucalypt and pepper, with refreshing umami. Paired nicely with USDA prime ribeye, seared with dusting of dashi powder and …

(Chens in Msia) Opaque dark garnet in glass. Soft dark, dusty berries on nose, with hint of smoke, cracked pepper, sweet coconut cream and soft spices. Sharp, with sweet and tall tannins on taste, followed quickly with vanilla smoothness, the taste shows generous blackberries and blackcurrants, along with sage/rosemary garrigue, and fragrant fresh raspberries. Mint on finish with soft mossy undergrowth, leading to a very long finish of minty eucalypt. Enjoyable and certain quite a few more years to go.
