This was really nice. A short swirl brings out a powerful cherry nose. I get blackberry and chocolate on the palate, and an obvious cab franc finish. Nice acidity, adequate tannin. There's a depth here that really helps make the wine. Watch the shmutz. 90-91 points.

Very delicious. Tannins were dusty and mellow and the fruit had receded so it's probably at its peak or just past. I've never had a bad bottle from Flora Springs.

This is tight stuff. As in, good tight. Ready to go from the pour (drink up), full flavor and slightly complex. Layers, acidity, tartness. Exactly what I like in a well made Cali number. Regrettably, my final bottle. Some residue.

Seemed a bit thin and overly vegetal on first opening, but really opened up after just a little time. Nice cherry and black fruit notes came out, with more subdued earth and vegetal notes. Still has a bit of tannins and decent acdity. I'm not sure it has the structure to last another decade, but I think it has a few more good years ahead of it.

Popped and poured. Medium to medium-plus garnet, clear. Pretty, yet simple nose of black raspberry, currant & cassis, a touch of green, and vanilla spice from oak. Medium to medium-plus body. On the palate, the flavors of black and red fruits get a bit obscured by the oak, which shows as spicy sweet and very youthful. The tannins are easy going any refined on the moderate close. This is still a bit young and needs more time for the oak …

This is a delightful wine, still a bit young, however. Opened up after a 1 hr decant, but still had a slightly sharp finish, though a nice nose and mouthfeel. Finished the bottle on day 2 and the sharp finish was completely absent. Nose was more expressive and it was velvety on the tongue. I wish I had bought more and will give others a longer decant. 91 pts.
