Strongly acidic - like a Sancerre times 2.

What a contradictory wine. The first sip has a round entry, a slight tang of yeast, and bitter. The next sip is crisp bright grapefruit. The next is grassy with noticeable tannic structure and a SweeTart finish. It's thin, it's full, it unfolds with time into mid-palate lushness. There are wisps of particulates undulating in the bottle like a lava lamp. Fascinating and lovely. Lill says "Wow. I like it!". Bottle disappears quickly.

A hazy, pale gold appearance. Aromas of applesauce, bitter green herbs, quinine. Medium bodied, with flavors of applesauce, dried herbs, a metallic minerality and a pleasant touch of bitterness and tannin that suggests brief skin contact. Moderate acid and just a bit of richness in the mouth. It's a touch loose, so temperature is key; at room temperature it's a little flabby, but with a bit of chill it's quite pleasant, reminding me a little of jacquère from the Savoie.

Subtle but complex aromatics, with nuances of stone fruit, mandarin, apple, cinnamon, honey. Medium bodied, with juicy acids and some yeasty lambic-ness. Nice. Just the thing on an unseasonably hot April evening.
