PNP. Golden color. Honey, brioche, pear, and green apple. Voluminous, medium fine bubbles. Vibrant, mouth filling acidity. Mark1NPT opened two of these as emergency pulls at the end of a fun wine night.

Closers for our first night, we blew through 2 bottles of this one pretty quickly after all the reds and food this evening. I think the two bottles tonight showed at least a point better than the bottle back in December. A little more lively bubble activity and they didn't seem to be as 'heavy' or malty as that bottle was looking back on it. Possibly that bottle was slightly heat damaged in transit? Big bubbles. Darker profile. Red delicious apple. Slightly bruised. Lots of apple skin, strawberry, and cherry cough syrup notes. Some brioche character. A bit oxidative in character. Carries the dosage well though. I don't really enjoy bruised fruit character. If you don't mind it, you might like it more. It's a nice wine. I would happily drink it if someone served it to me. I have no interest any acquiring any more for myself though.

Recent purchase of an old fav.....this '16 is really starting to settle in now. Darker yellow in the glass.....tons and I mean tons of the very smallest Champ bubbles you will ever see. Enjoyed as an after dinner drink with Kala and Andrew. Kala viewed it as heavier and darker than a previous Cristal I had served her earlier this year. Excellent. Fine mousse. Classic apple and brioche. Nothing out of place. Delicious - and light on the palate. Not tired at all, so bought more.

Tasting great, definitely a lighter profile. Pear, apricot, brioche.

Drinking really well. Nice balance. Good QPR.

Yellow apple and fresh baked bread are evident on the nose, adding lemon puree on the palate. Delightful.

Saved my last two bottles for New Year's Eve 2023. Crisp, clear, and fresh with the perfect amount of yeast.
