Catleya Fetească Neagră Perfect Simplu

At a restaurant in Bukarest. A new grape for me. Very Petit Sirah-like with pronounced notes of green bell pepper and green olives. Dark cherry and black pepper along with iodine mineral and meaty elements. High-octane palate with lots if acidity, but well-balanced. Firm tannin. The acidity is appealingly lively and provides for a resonating finish. A pleasant, structured wine where I wouldn�t be surprised to find 20 years plus of aging potential!
