Domaine Antoine Jobard Meursault 1er Cru Poruzots

Not as fresh as the bottle I had last year, but still a surprising white burg of this vintage. Slightly more caramel this year than last January, but interesting enough to keep drinking.

Impressive in every way. Amazingly youthful and fresh - not even close to tired, this wine seems to have another decade ahead of it, easily. Vibrant, roaring acidity that calms after a half hour, but is the underpinning of everything else. No more fruit, exactly, but the wine is charming and expressive in its intense stoniness, and its vague hazelnut scents, and almost oily, waxy texture. Pungent and long, a wine that feels noble.
