Yum OK just yum. This is drinking phenomenally well at the moment. Great depth of black cherry fruit, leather, mint. Brunello-like. A bit hot on the finish. This is very good stuff.

Coravined sample and let sit for 2 hours. This is still too young, and probably needed closer to 6 hours. Fruits were a bit muted, but started to come out after a while. Good amount of acidity indicates to me that this will last a long time and develop further in another 5 years.

Decanted 2 1/2 hrs. Nose of red cherry, spices and some light earth. Flavors of cherry pie filling, baking spices, some candy apple, green herb stalk, leaf tobacco and earth, and a light darkish minearlity on the finish. I wanted a little more weight than it had. Drying tannins still present but not sure this will get better with time. Still very nice! Drink now.

Second time I am drinking this wine. An unusual blend of Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Marselan and Alicante Bouschet. Decanted for one hour before I poured the first glass, and the wine started to shine after about two hours of aeration. Floral notes, dark fruit and ripe red fruit, dark cherry, green notes, some leather, tobacco, some coffee, chocolate, iron-like minerality, black tea, and balsamic notes, with good, medium(+) acidity and tannin, and superb length. Impressive intensity. Greener and drying on day …

Decanted 1/2 hr. Drank over 2 days. Day 2 had more lively & darker fruit tastes than day 1. Tastes of red & darker fruits. Medium body. Probably should have decanted longer on day 1.

The 2007 Eneo is a great wine with power. Dark in color. Black and red cherry, plum, blackberry, chocolate, tobacco and leather. Balanced and integrated. Good to drink now and will keep its level for at least 5+ years.

This is in an excellent spot. Big and rich with enough balance to be enjoyable. FWIW, I wouldn’t hold these too much longer

Much better than I expected. Dark, brooding color, some modern touches on the attack but all that Sangiovese rides in to hold it all together with brightness and savory grip. Very easy to drink, even excellent in its way, but somehow forgettable in the final analysis.

A powerfully wine. Pnp on day one: lots of tannins first. More accessible after 1-2 hours. Now, on day 3, wonderful. Deep dark red color, Sangiovese nose. Cherries, red currant on the palate. Nice smoothness. Long and silky finish. Strong. Tannins are smooth and silky but present. So I conclude that it’s early in the drinking window.

Interesting how this improved considerably since my last bottle 8 months ago. Drank over two days. Day 1 was just ok, but this really expanded and developed complexity on day 2. So my initial thoughts on this not improving over time was certainly wrong. Glad that I have one more and will revisit again in another 6-12 months.

I almost always enjoy this cuvee. And this bottle was no exception. I had it with my wine group at an Italian wine dinner. Everyone liked it, even the one guy who doesn't care for Sangiovese, although as a blend, maybe for him, the Sangiovese was muted. My feeling was the Sangiovese takes a leading role in this wine.

Clear ruby, looked like a young wine from the color. Very good, smooth. Maybe it was just the food, but on day 2 I thought it had improved, with more earthiness to balance the fruit.

Drinking great now. Intense mouthwatering smell with dark fruit, violet and coffe. The oak is there but just the right amount. Concentrated with more dark fruit in the mouth. Very smooth but with great texture. Long aftertaste. Wish I had more bottles.

Excellent.

Purple, with a hint of brown. Leather on the nose. Tastes like a muddy old Sangiovese. Good with pasta and red sauce. (NB: don't cook Thomas Keller's 3 hour oven-roasted tomato sauce when it's 95 outside) No sign of fading. Enjoyed the 2010 more though

Subsequent notes on this wine from about four years ago. Deep dark reddish-purple in color with ever-so-slight slight clearing at the edges. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of blackberries, dark cherries & plums with overtones of floral notes of violets & earthy/dusty notes, herbal notes of thyme, cocoa, spices, some tar, tobacco, minerals & cedar notes in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of …

First bottle from an OC. Very unusual given the hot 07 Tuscany vintage. Pnp. Dark garnet with a transparent rim Starts with a lot of wood spices on the nose, on the palate the ripeness is however very much in check unlike most other 07 Tuscans including the winery’s flagship wine Nardo. My first impression on the palate is one of a saline sea breeze (I know this is a red and not a white), later you get tobacco / …

Based on my history with the 2010 I loaded up on this vintage. Gave this bottle plenty of air time before decanting. Black as night with a nose that is screaming dark fruits, smoke, leather, cassis and the sent of a fresh picked field mellon. The pallet is in total balance overwhelmed by primary dark fruit and smoke. The balance of the wine is in total harmony. It’s all there. It just needs to rest for 10+ years and it …

Sweet dark fruit of black cherries and blackberries, quite rich, but balanced with good acidity, some vegetal and meaty spice notes lend further interest: tobacco, herbes de provence, tar, beef jerky. Tannins are very polished. The fruit still tastes young and fresh and there are no signs yet of age. This was our last bottle, but I imagine this will hold well another 5 years. Excellent value. - 92 points
