Radio-Coteau, Dusty Lane Syrah, Sonoma Coast

Bright, high-toned, verging on red-fruited, with just a hint of game and funk—more Michael McDonald than Bootsy. Tannins are mostly knit but the acidity and admittedly middle (bantam?) weight has things singing. Dynamite with duck confit, potatoes Sarlandaise, and bitter greens with a garlicky vinaigrette. Really a winning personality for a mid-week wine. Tasty and ready to drink in my estimation. Re-buy? In a second. Dead ringer for northern Rhône.

Similar note to all the Radio Coteau 2013 single vineyard Syrahs. They all held up very well and are very tasty.

Dark purple color, big nose of spicy dark fruit, the wine is drinking beautifully, with lots of upfront fruit, nice acidity but very smooth tannins with a long delicious finish

Really solid effort. RC wines amaze me every time and then I go order more. Big and bold but sleek with dark black and blue fruit, red meat, pepper and sous bois all going on in a very harmonious way. Super enjoyable. Highly recommended

pleasant, but light/bright to start, then gradually opened up to reveal deep mixed dark berry, garrigue, earth, pencil lead and olive.

Drinking smooth at 8-9 years though the fruit is still very present.

Great nose. Taste however was a ruin.

A stunning Syrah. Florals, roasted meat, and red berries. Good acidity, and black pepper lingers on the palate.

- Garnet color and aromas of smokey, black pepper, blackberry, black currant and cedar and has flavours of black currant and black pepper with a medium/full body. Round texture with a long finish - Smoked meat nose with hints of fresh ground white pepper.

A wine I never really nailed down as did seem to change. Plenty of fruit but also relatively fresh on its feet with a touch of grip and sap on the finish. Decent acid and reasonable body with a bit of spice and menthol. Be interesting to see how this pans out over the years. I think I enjoyed it !

Very smooth with the tannins fully integrated. White pepper and spice on the nose, mixed with some smoke. Brambly cassis flavors. Nice depth and length.

Delicious. agree with other note that it opens with lots of dusty earth and some smoky dark fruits, but over time (and especially overnight) really picks up on the savory olive and meaty notes as well. really beautiful and well balanced wine overall

Deep ruby color, the bouquet is similar to the name of the wine...a bit dusty with notes of cherry and raspberry. The wine has good fruit, quite a bit of acidity and a pleasant finish. Not super long but very tasty, especially after being decanted and allowed to breath for 30 minutes.
