Pale, brownish colored as expected. Not too sour, but with harsh tannins. Interesting aromas of different berries over the soft oak and behind that a small (not unpleasant) breeze of burnt rubber.

Scary good for the price. Echo the reviewer who mentioned a lot of barnyard notes. Plenty of fruit coming thru as well though. Nose of earth, hay, pepper (spice, not capsicum), sour cherry, raspberry. Palate has medium(+) acidity; medium(-) tannin; and plenty of the same notes as the nose. Just tremendous. I've been trying Etnas off and on for a few years now, still have only had a dozen or so - but this takes the cake. I've finally had …

Redan från första upphällningen en tydlig doft av smakrika, lite tvära körsbär, jordgubbe och blöt sten. Till munkänslan kom kryddighet och en trevlig strävhet mot slutet.

3/5 - opened with a tonne of barnyard, good structure and tight tannin. Opened after an hour or two, some nice strawberry and tart cherry aromas, still rather tight on the palate. This would probably do well in a few years or with a good decant.

A serviceable Etna Rosso. Hits all the right notes and is just fine for a weeknight wine, but it's fairly simple in comparison to, say, some of the Terre Nere wines.

Great QPR. Light ruby in the glass. Aromas of cherries, leather, spices. Lush on the palate, with bright acidity and black fruit and tar/leather notes. This is deceptive in its structure and will age. Try again in two years.

Russk. One of my top wines from The Leftovers at Mustang. Nose somewhat muted . Deceptively light-bodied in the beginning. Liquid mouth. Finishing with a little bit of a barolo like grip. Some tar. Get 2 more and sit on them for a couple of yrs.

Pours pale garnet, expressive nose of ripe red berries, spice, candied cherry. Medium + acidity, low tannins, medium - body. Nicely balanced, good finish, very easy drinking and food friendly. First time with these varietals, remind me of both gamay and grenache.

Consumed on premise off the wine list at Canto Corvino, one of my locals, and I must say well recommended. Hence just a few quick thoughts jotted down. Mid, pale red, Beautiful, lifted and exotic nose of red fruits, spice and some perfumed, floral elements. Great complexity and interest. A slight herbal component emerges with more air.

This wine has dark berry notes and dark minerals in a nice combination on both nose and palate. The acidity has some attitude and the tannins are fine grained but present. Very positive surprise for the price level.

À bit spicy on the nose. Taste of cherrys, cinnamon and chocolate, also a lot of minerals. Drinkable now but could probably benefit from à few years in cellar. ( 95p (gold) Decanter World Wine Awards)

Popped and poured. A rather weird stench which I can't decide whether it's good or bad... On the palate quite nice, with tart acidity, light body, red cherry flavors and a hint of white pepper.
