I changed my mind and opened up my last bottle to compare it to the previous bottle. This one was back to where I remember the earlier bottles to be: Good fruit but not in your face balanced by tannins and structure with a good, lingering taste.

I was very disappointed after my earlier high ratings . It had a component of sour cherry that was more than I remembered and more than I like. I will save my remaining bottle for at least another year.

Tart cherry, tannic, and big. You can certainly drink this now or let it sit for another year or two.

Big, bold and spicy. The wine is not for the feint of heart. The flavors are big black fruits that are well developed along with a cinnamon and pepper spice that hits throughout the wine and carries out with the tannic fruit finish. IF you don't like the spice now wait about 5 years for it to mellow along with the fruit oxidizing a bit.

Still very young, and it will take a couple of more years for the tanin to smooth out. Plenty of jammy fruit. Wait until early 2021 to drink.
