This wine unbelievable thought for sure it would have been past its due date however ...still fresh, good complexity, great fruit and lengthly finish...Very pleasant surprise!

Drinking much better than the last few bottles consumed over the last couple of years. Showing its age in a nice way but the fruit was more pronounced than prior bottles. Any stewy flavors are gone and red fruits and very subtle tannins persist.

Au contriare! This wine is actually pretty good, considering the age, Steve Lessard's careful hand is clearly at the wheel. The nose is actually quite Napa in style, stemmy yes, but with present and clear berries as well. Old-world sense. Floral notes through the mid-palate. Finish is tough, maybe a bit too much oak. The drinking window on this is between 15-60 minutes after opening. Enjoy.

Opened, decanted, drank over a 3 hour period. Quite harsh right out of the gate. The nose was actually very nice though....lots of dark fruits and spice. But the palate was very green and stemmy tasting....they may have picked the grapes too early. Medium bodied, very acidic, still some tannins. It mellowed out a little bit over time, so that it was drinkable, but I wouldn't call it much better than good. It was very good when it was young, …

Not drinking particularly well right now. A bit harsh and unbalanced. Has a weird tomato like quality. Over time it became less clunky but it appears to be in an awkward phase right now.

Overall good, fairly fruity and somewhat jammy, medium tannins, lighter acidity. Went well with lightly spicy Mexican.

Popped and poured. Alcohol listed at 13.8% Color is nice garnet color with ruby edges. Not opaque. Initial notes after pop and pour: Nose: Huge floral component with caramel and chocolate. Slightly vegetal. After a few minutes in the glass: Big red jammy fruits come through. Palate: Full bodied. Big, viscous mouthfeel. Big tannins here, but well integrated with some jammy, but not cloyingly sweet, dark red fruits. I get cherry, plums and raspberry, some black pepper and perhaps some …

Globe Trotter Wines (Farpointe Cellar) : A very interesting nose of violets and earth, as well as some raspberry and plum. The palate was silky, with raspberry, violets, and oak, plus a bit of earth. The finish was great.

Floral and earthy nose. Chocolate and dark fruit flavors. Opened up nicely within an hour of decanting. Still would like it a bit bigger.

Was expecting a little more. Wine was light, not as bold as I read in reviews. Was fruity with dark berry taste. Not much of a finish.

Very fruity, peppery, with hints of cherries. Very eliquent and smooth, with a long pleasent finish. Had a dark chocolate after-taste.

Floral and earthy nose. The flavors were restrained, and not like the other powerhouse wines we tasted earlier in the evening. Dark fruit, currant, and chocolate flavors were there, with a nice finish and even more chocolate with the aftertaste. If this wine had been just a bit bigger, it would have been an outstanding wine - that's the style that we really enjoy.

At first, I found the nose to be a little offensive, but after a 1 & 1/2 hours of decantering, the wine mellowed out. Tannis softened, and the fruit (that was very forward at first) opened for a longer and more layered effect. I found this to be bigger and slightly heavier than I expected for a 'Californian Style - Bordeaux blend' , meaning more cherry and berry than smoke and leather. Overall, this was good wine that has pontential …
