Not a memorable experience. Compact, almost like balsamic vinegar in nose and in finish. I am not I favor of this compact style. I prefer more finesse and complexity. 85-87P

Medium purple/red. Decaying leaves, cherry, spice, dried shiitake and balsamic nose. Dry earthy cherry flavour and a long dry cherry finish. No matter what grape is used the Tuscan terroir is strong.

Quite dark purple. Intense nose of damp soil, spice, blackberry, black cherry, cassis and cocoa bean. Intense dry berry and black cherry flavours and a very textured long earthy finish. This is Merlot but it is the Tuscan character that prevails until the end. Also it never showed any reduction in intensity you could expect from a 2014.

The nose showed a gorgeous mix of sweet florals, grilled herbs, mint leaf, blueberries, cherry, sweet minerality and dusty earth. On the palate, I found velvety textures with vibrant, lifting acidity and saline minerals, as saturating dark fruits and savory herbs filled the senses, before youthful tannin began to take hold. The finish was long and structured, resonating on gripping tannin versus cool-toned red and blue fruits with hints of sweet and savory herbs. The 2014 is ready for the …
