One of my fav N&N, their classic dark fruit base that straddles the line between soft and fruity yet still robust with enough acid and tannin in the finish. It’s fruit forward enough to pair with most roasted foods but bold enough to be a steak wine. Doesn’t need more age but wouldn’t hurt. Just a touch of minerality on the nose and adding to the chewy mouthfeel adds complexity.

The first thing I notice from this wine is how balanced it feels in the nose. The alcohol is there but not overwhelming the other aromas, instead it is complementing them. On the palate is smooth, complex with a good tension between tannins, acidity and sweetness. Hints of red fruit, cassis and vanilla. The finish is long, with some oak flavors.
