Sehr typisch: Rauchig, speckig. Schöne Frucht. Sehr harmonisch. Wunderbar.

Transparent dark ruby. Gamey aromas over a background of deciduous forest floor and light toasty notes. A bit of band-aid. High acid and a light, but round body. The tannins have a slightly rough edge.

DWCC Grand Tasting with Jancis Robinson and Dr. Jose Vouillamoz (Montreux, Switzerland) : Lots of oak showing, but there is breed there. Quite a bit of structure to this with a deep palate. As noted by Jancis, a "very pretty wine indeed." Hint of pomagranate, coffee. Quite nice. The most structure by far and my favorite of the flight.

From Malans, in the German speaking Swiss canton and wine region of Graubünden. Ruby with garnet hints. Slightly oxidative notes followed by multiple red berry aromas and obvious oak. Soft and feathery on the palate yet racy, fruitful and long lasting.
