Sagelands Merlot Four Corners

Needed 3/4 cup Merlot to make a cranberry-beet sauce to drizzle over some pork-tenderloin. Wife grab this from the store. At room temp this was just aweful: vinegar, charred plums, and imitation vanilla. It actually worked ok for cooking...onced I chilled it abit, I got some cranberry out of the wine that worked in the sauce. But, a thin, no finish, fake fruit wine. A 72 just because its fun to see Ed "Too Tall" Jones number!

dark and translucent, crushed berries and spice on the nose, raspberry, some dark cherry, and dark chocolate on a pleasantly bitter finish, fine acid holds this up well, over time becomes quite syrupy and loses it's charm, won't last long like previous vintages but good value
