Delicious and perfectly ready to enjoy very smooth throughout. Notes of blackberry jam and licorice. Went beautifully with filet mignon.

This was probably the best bottle of the 3 I've had. I did not decant it - instead rather just pop and poured. This was loaded with sediment so I used a filter to pour it. It poured incredibly dark and did not show any signs of age. The nose was mostly primary with lots of dark seductive fruits and a touch of leather. Time has been good to the 2010 Frazier Memento. Its been 2 years since I last drank this and it feels like it is hitting its stride. Pain in the ass getting the wax capsule off (I hate wax capsules - they only make it harder to open the wine and also it crumbles and gets into your actual wine). Opened initially and tasted - lots and lots of sediment in the bottle. On the nose some dark subdued fruit, and little pencil shavings, and an odd scent of a brown banana, odd, but actually pleasant. Dry sage and white pepper on the nose gives way to deep red raspberry and dark fruits on a full bodied palate. Moderate tannins and hints of leather on the back palate. A multi-segment reveal wine by Kirk Venge. Keeper.

Much more evolved than the last bottle which was consumed in 2010. Tannins have mellowed considerably. Was fine with being open for only 15-20 minutes. Was also great on day #2.

Popped and poured. Lots of fun things going on in the nose....currants, eucalyptus, mocha, earth. Smooth palate. The alcohol is high, but it wasn't noticeable. I finished up the wine 2 days after opening and it was even better. More dark fruit and earth/leather on the nose. Smooth palate. Long finish of red fruit...lingers on the palate. I'd recommend a good decant based on how wonderful the wine was two days later.

2006 vintage

Popped and poured. Tight at first but opened up after 10 minutes or so in the glass. Aromas of currant and berries followed by fruit and a hint of pencil shavings or earth on the palate. Smooth finish. The second half of this bottle was even better on day 2. This wine is drinking very well, although it likely would benefit from some decanting.

Tight and closed which is to be expected for this bottling from Frazier. No decant which was a big mistake. There are some nice fruit flavors in this wine but the are hiding behind the massive tannins. Decent acidity so I suspect that this will only improve with age. I will not touch the others for at least 5 years
