Consistent with prior scores (87-89). The nose on this is all medicinal bandaid and pencil shavings - very strong - whether you enjoy this is a matter of taste - I find it a bit off putting. On the palate the oak is still noticeable with vanilla & chocolate notes, wrapping around the ripe sweet fruit and lots of cedar. For me this is just too sweet, not much acid to speak of. PnP, unlike the last outing there is not funk on the nose this time. Consumed directly after the '08 Ghost Block this is definitely a bit more feminine and softer in style. The fruit while ripe seems more red and plummy & fig rather than blackberry. Decanted and poured relatively quickly. Wow this has got lots of medicinal bandaid on the nose - suppose this is brett, but not the stinky barnyard kind. On the palate the tannins are very soft, dark cherry and raspberry fruit with lots of chocolate notes - finishes a bit sweet.
