Very impressive village! Lovely colour and impressed straight out of the gate with some mild struck match, reductive flint, lemon curd, peach white flowers and hazelnut vanilla spiceness. Oak is deliciously integrated with ripe fruit but surprisingly good acidity. had that lovely tension concentration and energy in the mid palate. Finished long with with a little creaminess. Going back for more of this one.

Mind-boggliingly good. Kept on taking depth as it took on air.

Delicious. White orchard fruit, lemon cream, tarragon with mild reduction. Very detailed and complex for its level. Drinking well right now.

Seemed more tame on the oak this time round. Were going for a completely different style to the Le Moine Meursault Charmes we had before this. And it delivered, reminding of the very charming, light style that Pillot always nails.

Was wine should follow the most amazing Silvaner I've ever had? It surely had to be a high-profile one, that not only delivers on the name, but also in quality. Paul Pillot hit's just the spot. Sure it's a bit pricey (we negotiated down a bottle to 90 EUR), but this was a really nice bottle. Moving away a bit from the more luscious breadth that the Paul Pillot Bourgones seem to have, more towards a high tension wine that …

Clean and bright, with lovely orchard fruit and good acidity. A bit simple, but drinks very well for the level.

Pear and nut notes. A bit acidic but not too unbalanced.

I had the right occasion to open another bottle this week. Nose:Tarragon, pistachio, ripe lemon, lime zest, cottage cheese, mineral. Palate: creamy, but the citrus flavors also make this taste refreshing. Finish: long, acids starts at the back of the tongue right after swallowing and continues to build for several seconds sustaining the citrus flavors.

There are softer, buffered textures to the wine, somewhat similar to Lamy. There’s good focus, purity, ample and rounded fruit that shows honeysuckle, touch of green fruit with the yellow and other floral elements, but ends up feeling a bit generic. Doesn’t have the energy and tension of the Bachelet-Monnot. Instead it trades on being pleasant, easy to enjoy and hiding its alcohol pretty well. Got a chance to revisit day 2 on this one with same notes. Thought the …

Astonishingly good Villages, this has it all. Dense yellow and white fruit with a silky texture. Everything in the right place. Long and classy.

I opened a bottle in order to taste it side by side with the Les Mazures cuvee. These are both amazing wines that have a place in your glass and in your cellar. Les Mazures has a little more fruit density and minerality. They will both make great wines over 4-6 years.

This wine continues to be one of the stars of the appelation in 2020. Everything is in balance, and the ripe citrus and mineral notes are delightful. I am buying more and so should you.

On second day, this has settled into a lovely citrus profile framed by beautiful acidity. Great balance and creamy mouthfeel. I would let this one harmonize for at least 4-6 years, but there is no harm in opening a bottle now. Just make sure to give it lots of time in a decanter. 92 point complexity, 94 point enjoyment.
