This was very open, quite ripe and big too. Quite new world/modern but doing it nicely at this age. Black fruit and plums, vanilla bean and white pepper, nice harmony and leveling out at its peak. Drink up!

At first it seemed dry and had a bite at the end. Then as I was eating tri tip and potatoes along with letting it sit, the wine became very refined and so good. We picked up blackberries or jam in the flavor. I also decanted the wine since it was 12 years old

Drank from double magnum that had been left in car and got so hot the cork had popped. Decanted and drank over 90 minutes. A little tight at first, but opened up after a few minutes into an exceptionally smooth, rich wine.
