(Decanted for one hour) Deep red colour with a brick red hue and a maturing nose showing violets, liquorice, dried herbs and some wet soil. Smoothing tannins on the palate showing red berries, dried herbs and a nice acidity on the mid to late before dried fruit take over on the lengthy finish. This is still showing well, but should be drunk now. (Best 2005-2020)

(Decanted for one hour) Maturing nose showing warm fruit, damp soil and hints of cedar and barn. Silky soft tannins on the mature palate showing some warm fruit and a nice lengthy finish with hints of leather and dried fruit. There’s also a little disturbing green note on the finish that reveals with more airtime. Still a good showing, and as always with mature Bordeaux it works best with food. (Best 2005-2020)

Supposedly the first ever vintage of this wine. Translucent black cherry color with noticeably developed, pale brick-orange rim. Very savory and nicely developed nose with aromas of fresh yet slightly wizened blackcurrants, bell pepper, some leafy tones, a little bit of porcini mushrooms, an earthy hint of sous-bois and a touch of pipe tobacco. The wine is medium-bodied, complex, quite ripe yet somewhat lean on the palate with flavors of crunchy blackcurrant tones, earthy sous-bois, bell pepper, some leafy tones, …
