The last bottle and the best bottle - attractive nose of earth, pure red fruits and sous bois. Silky texture, the pure red fruits interspersed with sous bois, at a middlepoint of evolution, light to medium-bodied, a whisper of grip, fine filigreed acidity and lovely balance.

From a lieu dit in the centre of Corgoloin (south of Nuits Saint Georges), just north of the D974. A lot more interest with this bottle than the previous one, with pronounced sous bois and farmyard notes on the nose; medium-bodied, persistent red-fruited core - slightly overripe in character, sous bois, reasonable acidity.

Tasted reminiscent of an old Hunter Valley Burgundy - eg. Lindemans from the 80s, with 30+ years of age on it. Light and resolved, not really any sous bois characteristics, a nice casual Burgundy for when not too much focus required for the wine.
