Rather pale rose not white The nose feels weird, confused, grapefruit/lemon peel, green notes, white peach notes, pear Palate shows green notes again, the acidity is aggressive, angular texture, warmth from alcohol, med body, med finish

Pale pink. Lots to hold the attention, from hints of red fruit, to glimmers of acacia on the finish, and a surprising gob of minerality. Fun.

Served blind. With its orangeish appearance and oddly concentrated, succulent, herbal flavours I thought this was a wine from somewhere like Slovenia, made with an unfamiliar grape variety, but it turned out to be Piemontese Pinot Nero vinified as a white wine! Quite intense orange and red fruit, a shimmering texture, intense and mineral and simply very nice to drink.

Served blind. Pale orange in appearance, medium bodied with good mid-palate weight, savoury with bright acids and good concentration and citric complexity. I wondered about Champagne as nose seemed reminiscent, yet I was outfoxed by the colour and was thinking E. Europe, when in fact it was a Piedmontese Pinot Noir vinified as a white. Kudos to the Somm at 67PM. BTG from Zalto Universal.

White PN from Piemonte. Reminds me very much of Jolie-Laide's Pinot Gris, different variety, country and vinification but same light copper-pink colour, fresh acidity, berries intermingling with the citrus and stone fruit and even more restrained ABV.

Tasted during visit. Very interesting aromatics of small red fruits, orange zest, honey but also some seashell kind of minerality. It's lighter-medium bodied with medium acidity and good length. A very interesting wine to drink now... combines pretty unique aromatics with good freshness.

Tasted at the cantina. Nothing too serious, but the mineral and saline aromas invite deeper inspection - there's seashells, pears, tangy apples, river rocks. Medium-bodied, with avg acidity, this offers surprising depth and length - neither of which I'd have expected given the challenges of 14 vintage. Drink now. 12,5% abv. Served non-blind. https://italianwine.blog/
